Terms of Service

exitPlan is an AI-assisted tool that analyzes video of your home (recorded by you, on your device) and generates a personalized emergency plan, task list, readiness score, and inventory. It is built and operated by Black Cloud LLC.

exitPlan is not:

• A professional safety inspection or its substitute.
• A fire marshal, building inspector, security expert, or licensed emergency planner.
• An emergency services replacement. In any actual emergency, call 911 first.
• An insurance product. Documenting inventory through exitPlan does not constitute an insurance policy and does not guarantee any insurance claim outcome.
• Real-time emergency notification. Use official channels (CAL FIRE, Watch Duty, FloridaDisaster.org, NWS, NOAA, Notify NYC) for active alerts.

The AI vision analysis performed on your video frames may make mistakes. It can miss hazards that exist, identify hazards that don't, mislabel rooms, or generate task suggestions that don't apply to your specific situation. You acknowledge these limitations and accept responsibility for verifying recommendations independently.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Black Cloud LLC, its founders, employees, and contractors are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of exitPlan, including but not limited to: property damage, personal injury, loss of life, financial loss, insurance claim disputes, or any outcome related to actions taken or not taken on the basis of suggestions in your plan. Your use of exitPlan is at your own risk and discretion. This limitation applies whether the damages arise from contract, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory.

Paid plans are processed via Polar, our merchant of record. Pricing is shown at checkout. One-time purchases are non-refundable except where required by law. Free tiers (including the Florida Hurricane Season Initiative, offering free unlocked plans to Florida residents through November 30, 2026) may be modified, extended, or discontinued at any time without notice.

Do not use exitPlan to record video of any space without explicit permission from its occupants. Do not use exitPlan for any unlawful purpose. Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or resell the service.

You may, at your discretion, share your generated plan, inventory list, or any video file you recorded on your device with third parties such as insurance companies, family members, or emergency planners. exitPlan does not host or facilitate this sharing — any transmission of your content to a third party is initiated by you, performed using your own tools (email, file upload, cloud storage), and governed by your relationship with the recipient. Black Cloud LLC and exitPlan accept no responsibility, liability, or indemnity for any content you choose to share, how it is used by the recipient, the outcome of insurance claims or disputes, or any consequences resulting from such sharing. By sharing, you acknowledge sole responsibility for the content and the act of sharing it.

We may update these terms over time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or via the email address you provide (if any). Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of St. Johns County, Florida.
